About the department

As a Tax and Accounting Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Accounting & Tax Center of Excellence (COE), focusing on managing accounting and tax requirements specific to the Philippines. You will be joining a team devoted to ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The position
As a Tax and Accounting Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will perform the following (but not limited to) duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting according to corporate and local accounting guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with Novo Nordisk values and local laws.
  • Prepare and submit Statutory Withholding Taxes and Value Added Tax Reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist in securing a strong financial control environment through efficient internal controls and procedures.
  • Support the Accounting and Tax Manager with any tax-related matters.
  • Contribute to the COE team’s success through knowledge sharing and engagement.
  • Drive standardization and efficiency across processes.
  • Provide ad hoc support to local accounting and tax functions.
     

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • Strong accounting and/or tax knowledge with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end reporting, local statutory reporting, and tax submissions to local authorities.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (advantageous).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
