The position
As our Regional Market Access & Public Affairs Manager, you will proactively develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans towards regional payers and policy makers. In close coordination with regional and national colleagues, you will work to secure the best possible access, funding, and recommendations for products across the portfolio, and make sure the therapy areas we operate in are prioritized by payers and health systems in your regions of responsibility. In this role, you will be responsible for regions in the south of Sweden, specifically Skåne, Halland, Blekinge and Kronoberg.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and analyse the regional market access and political landscape, funding and formulary listing decision-making processes, and stakeholders relevant to Novo Nordisk's therapy areas
  • Build and maintain network with key regional healthcare decision makers such as payers, policy makers, civil servants, formulary committee members, patient organisations, etc.
  • Develop and execute regional stakeholder engagement plans in order to stay in close dialogue with payers and policy makers to improve access and find policy solutions in collaboration
  • Serve as main internal/external contact person for regional payer and policy activities, and communicate internally about your needs for evidence and communication tools for use in regional MAPA processes
  • Actively contribute to planning and execution of cross-functional strategy with regional cross-functional team and represent Novo Nordisk at relevant regional industry working groups

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with field-based pharma market access and public affairs in the Swedish healthcare environment
  • Experience navigating and engaging with a politically driven decision-making process
  • Solid understanding of the healthcare policy environment in Sweden, and in particularly in the relevant regions
  • Experience mapping stakeholders and networks, developing engagement plans and engaging with decision makers in the healthcare system directly
  • Experience in government/public affairs and policy shaping activities
  • Experience within the therapy areas of interest to Novo Nordisk
  • Experience working cross-functionally within a matrix organisation
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field

 

About the department

In Market Access & Public Affairs (MAPA), we build strong relationships with external stakeholders in the Swedish healthcare environment and seek to optimise patients’ access to products across our portfolio in Sweden. As access is increasingly important for the commercial success of our products, a key challenge is to get decision makers across Sweden to support funding of innovative medicines. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, we aim to facilitate the dialogue that makes this happen.

 

The role sits in the Regional MAPA team in Novo Nordisk Sweden. In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Regional MAPA and will be collaborating closely with colleagues both in the national MAPA team and in the rest of the affiliate. You will spend a lot of your time in the field, and the rest in our Swedish office in downtown Malmö.
