About the department 

You will be part of the People & Organizational Development team within the People & Organization (P&O) department, consisting of 3 dedicated professionals. Based in Mainz, Germany, our team is committed to supporting the growth and development of Novo Nordisk Germany. We guide employees throughout their entire career journey in the company—helping them get started, supporting their professional development, and highlighting opportunities for personal growth. 

 

The position 

As a Leadership Development Partner, you will play a key role in shaping the relevant skills for our commercial leaders. Your mission is to ensure our people are equipped to lead effectively in a rapidly evolving business environment—contributing directly to the Grow Germany strategy. You will work at the intersection of strategy and development, designing and delivering tailored leadership offerings, coaching individuals, and ensuring that our people are ready for both today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities. 

Your main responsibilities include: 

  • Designing, delivering, and reinforcing leadership development programs aligned with commercial business needs and our ambitious Grow Germany strategy 

  • Creating impactful learning activities that enhance leadership skills and drive performance 

  • Coaching and mentoring commercial leaders to support their individual growth journeys 

  • Owning and evolving the onboarding program for all new employees in Germany 

  • Supporting change management initiatives and collaborating internationally to embed global offerings locally 

 

Qualifications 

  • University degree in psychology or humanities or comparable training with solid HR experience 

  • Several years' experience in people development or education as certified trainer/coach; pharmaceutical or international industry is an advantage 

  • Ability to identify competency gaps and translate them into relevant development activities with commercial impact 

  • Experience in different HR-functions and working with leaders from different levels of an organization is an advantage 

  • Fluency in German and English
