The Position (6-month maternity cover contract)
The Market Access Manager, reporting to the Market Access Head, has a key leadership role in developing and driving the market access strategy for the diabetes Novo Nordisk portfolio, aligned with the global Market Access strategy and framed in the Brand Plan.
Among your main responsibilities will be:
- Setting direction: Collaborate in defining the strategic lines and actions of the products under its responsibility to ensure & optimize its access. Provide support to the price negotiations of the product/s under its responsibility, offering information and data that facilitate the relevant argumentation and collaborate in the definition of the pricing strategy.
- Strategic analysis: Actively monitor legislative & healthcare environment in the market access field and analyse the potential impact of new trends on the company or Novo Nordisk’s products. Understand the perception of customers (payers, managers, pharmacists, politicians and influencers) through market research or advisory boards (unmet needs, willingness to pay, perception of products/therapeutic areas...).
- Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Evidence Generation: Develop local adaptation of economic models (CoC, CEA…), epidemiology and burden of disease studies. Preparation of national/regional/local Budget Impact Models and economic data when necessary. Define and execute the local Real-World Evidence (RWE) plan needed to generate evidence for payers.
- Value communication and Health Technology Assement (HTA): Develop local value stories for payers and decision makers, Value Dossiers and other value materials & tools and establish key value proposition elements to defend our product value in terms of HTA.
- Stakeholder engagement: Develop payer engagement activities to disseminate the value of NN products and innovative projects bring value to our customers. Design, coordinate and ensure the implementation of engagement plans related to P&R processes.
- Pricing: Manage Price Business Cases and provide support in pricing decisions.
Qualifications
- Life Sciences Degree (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or Medicine) and/or Economics
- Postgraduate qualification or relevant experience in Health Economics
- Deep knowledge of Spanish health care system, market access dynamics & pharma market
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in market access in the pharmaceutical industry or in a consultancy company.
- Experience in the retail pharma products market
- Experience with diabetes would be a plus
- Fluent in English and Spanish
