Do you love, and live for immunoassays, and do you possess an inherent curiosity towards automation and the use of data to improve the development of your assays and processes? Then you are on the right path to become our new colleague!

We are looking for an experienced scientist to help us develop, optimise, and potentially rethink our traditional analytical methods. We can offer an open, dynamic, and social atmosphere with a strong focus on state-of-the-art science, collaboration, and deliveries at the right regulatory level.

The position

You will be responsible for the performance and optimisation of analytical assays for specific clinical projects within the Novo Nordisk project portfolio. This means day to day cooperation with laboratory technicians and colleague scientists but also include participation in cross organizational project groups, collaboration with other departments both in Research Units and in manufacturing (Product Supply), and transfer of analytical methods.

As Senior Research Scientist or Research Scientist (depending on experience), you will be responsible for:

  • timely development and validation/qualification of assays and equipment
  • compliance activities (approval of results, qualification of equipment, deviation handling & change request
  • developing immunoassays both traditional ELISA and new analytical techniques such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Bio-layer interferometry (BLI) and immunoassays by Gyros
  • initiate contact with relevant internal or external stakeholders to secure the best possible scientific cooperation and results across functions and teams.

You can look forward to using your skills and talent not only in our department but across Drug Product Development which covers analysis, cell banking, drug product development and stability testing within the entire R&D clinical portfolio.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

  • a Master of Science and/or a PhD within pharmacy, biomedicine, cell biology, biochemistry or similar
  • relevant experience with immunoassays
  • experience working in the pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industry
  • preferably a good knowledge of working in a cGMP environment.

As a person you are a proactive team player that naturally builds relations to colleagues and stakeholders in the organization based on trust and confidence. You are an independent person that drives initiatives to reach goals and meet necessary deadlines. You can handle several tasks at the same time, and you are motivated by the opportunity to take responsibility. You are curious and continuously acquire competences within new processes, new technology and IT systems.

Lastly, you have good communication skills and a positive mind-set.

If you have a personal interest in leadership and possess leadership skills, it will be considered positive.
