Space Planning Project Manager

Are you eager to be part of the expansion of Novo Nordisk's largest global Research and Development (R&D) site? Do you have extensive experience as a Project Manager specializing in facility management, space management, or laboratory and office planning? Then this is your chance to have exposure to the newly established Site Operations team as a maternity cover (10-12 months). Your task will be to lead and implement projects that contribute to the optimal utilization of office space and laboratories in our biggest R&D Site situated in Måløv, Denmark.
 
The Position
In your role as a maternity cover for a Space Planning Project Manager, your work will directly impact and shape the working environment of our R&D colleagues. You will Collaborate with design and construction professionals across various disciplines to ensure seamless integration of development, design, and construction of drawings and specifications, guaranteeing successful delivery of projects on-time and within budget.


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing small- to mid-sized interior renovation and construction projects, creating and implementing plans and procedures for project execution, construction management, and risk mitigation
  • Assisting in the development of strategic space plans, aligning project schedules with user priorities, expectations, and space guidelines
  • Developing, revising, and maintaining space metrics reports
  • Collaborating with vendors, employees, and relevant senior stakeholders, solving problems, and delegating tasks as needed
  • Maintaining constant communication with all relevant parties, keeping them updated with regular status reports

 
Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field, preferably Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Management or Architect
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience in an equivalent capacity preferably within research facilities
  • Excellent computer skills and extensive knowledge in relevant software applications and programs: Autocad, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills with strong analytical thinking capabilities
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between external and internal stakeholders

 
About the department

Research & Early Development (R&ED) Integration, Investments and Operations DK is a Vice President area within R&ED that enables the R&ED organization via Project Management & Operational Excellence. It consists of approx. 20 colleagues and is growing. Beyond Operations, R&ED Integration, Investments and Operations DK also drives major R&D investment projects, integrations as well as R&D Health & Safety Operations.
