Senior Scientist for Mammalian Expression Engineering
Måløv, Capital Region of Denmark, DK
Are you a highly experienced scientist specializing in protein design and mammalian expres-sion? Join Novo Nordisk in enhancing our discovery pipeline and contribute to innovative pharmaceutical solutions that improve lives. Apply today and be part of a dynamic, empower-ing, and data-driven international scientific environment.
The Position
As a Senior Scientist in Mammalian Expression Engineering, you will be pivotal in advancing our early project portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will involve designing and expressing proteins essential for scientific hypothesis testing and the development of recombinant thera-peutic proteins. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will provide scientific expertise in mammalian protein design and expression.
You will produce proteins necessary for early proof-of-concept activities, many of which are challenging to express and require modifications for successful production. Collaboration with the modelling department for design input and generating cell lines for lead candidates' pro-duction are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will facilitate the transfer of selected lead candidates for further development within CMC.
Innovation and scientific development are integral to your role. Sharing ideas and inspirations with colleagues, demonstrating good stakeholder management, and adapting in a changing research environment are essential qualities.
Qualifications
- Degree (Master’s or PhD) in biotechnology, molecular biology, or mammalian cell biology.
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in protein design and mammalian protein expres-sion from industry or academia.
- Experience with liquid handlers and automation, including programming, is an advantage.
- Strong drive to optimize and develop ongoing processes.
- Insight into mammalian cell cultivation.
Personally, you are driven by using your skills for protein design and expression to bring po-tential medicine to patients. You apply your creativity to find solutions to the scientific chal-lenges you encounter, and you share knowledge and experience freely with other scientists, lab technicians researchers as well as stakeholders to further our common cause.
