Your new role
As a Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining the technical foundation that enables our scientists to accelerate drug discovery through AI and machine learning. Working in a rapidly evolving landscape where both technology and scientific discovery are advancing at pace, you'll need to embrace change while driving innovation within your team and across the wider organization.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Build, deploy, and maintain predictive models for molecular properties, in collaboration with modelling scientists
- Prepare datasets for modelling, in collaboration with data engineers and domain experts
- Ensure high level of technical quality and participate actively in code review and architectural discussions
- Engage with non-technical scientific colleagues, learning humbly and sharing knowledge openly
- Communicate clearly and openly with peers and stakeholders
- Participate in department activities and work according to the Novo Nordisk way
The role is based in Måløv and includes occasional travel to other offices in the Copenhagen area.

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced MLOps engineer to grow our existing team, who brings both technical depth and an open-minded, eager attitude toward learning. Above all, you'll thrive in an environment where technology and science intersect.
You'll need:
- BS, MSc, PhD or similar in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology specialized in AI/ML, data and analytics, or similar fields
- Several years of experience in software development in a hands-on engineering role and significant working experience in Python. Basic familiarity with NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and PySpark libraries would be very useful
- Good command of modern software engineering skills, including data structures, algorithms, and basic DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, testing)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate respectfully with colleagues from different backgrounds and cultures
Advantageous skills include:
- Distributed systems and orchestration
- Cloud engineering and IaC deployment
- Visualization and data analysis
- Scientific knowledge of biology or chemistry
