Scientist - Drug Product Formulation Development

About the department

Injectable Formulation Development is part of CMC (Chemical, Manufacturing and Control) Development in the Research & Development organisation. A team based in Malov, we are responsible for developing formulations and production processes for injectables comprising e.g., GLP-1 products, insulins, haemophilia products, RNAi and monoclonal antibodies, specifically for non-clinical studies and phase 1-3 clinical trials.

In Injectable Formulation We develop and formulate all new protein and peptide processes from our research units. Working in CMC Development, you’ll be part of a team of the best and brightest in your field, where scientific integrity is standard and shared responsibility is ingrained in everything we do.

 

The job

As a Scientist within Injectable Formulation Development, you get to play a key role in developing the process and documentation of drug products for next generation of innovative injectables.  Securing optimal pharmaceutical characteristics and stability. You will collaborate with a project team responsible for the product and process development

 

 Other responsibilities include:

  • Design, interpret and report development studies on drug products, including studies to support patent applications
  • Play a prominent role in solving scientific and technical challenges related to drug product development
  • Establish drug product specifications and technology transfer documentation to production sites
  • Write reports for internal and external use, including clinical trial applications and marketing authorisation applications
  • Contribute to the ongoing automation and digitalisation of processes and systems with LEAN as the guiding principle.
  • Participate in handling complex data via e.g., Machine Learning (ML) and utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI)

 

Qualifications

  • You hold a PhD or an M.Sc. within Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biophysics, Engineering, or related field of study.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in drug product development, e.g., formulation or process development, automation, regulatory and quality aspects of drug development projects. #
  • As we foresee a future with an immense data-load, experience within data processing, machine learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English are required.
