The Position
As
Research Scientist within the development team, you will be joining a dedicated team of experienced colleagues, including scientists and laboratory technicians. Your role will involve the analytical development and optimization of methods for drug substances and injectable products, with a specific focus on chromatographic methods (HPLC/UHPLC).

As our new Research Scientist, you will:

  • Plan and coordinate experiments for method development and document the results
  • Act as the responsible analytical person in the projects, closely collaborating with project managers, scientists and technicians across the organisation
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that analytical equipment is fully functioning
  • Troubleshoot analytical equipment and methods
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing optimization, automation, and digitalization of processes and systems

 

Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you have:

  • A Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Engineering, or related discipline) along with a PhD or equivalent experience
  • Experience in HPLC/UHPLC and/or LC-MS analytical development within the pharmaceutical industry 
  • Profound knowledge of general protein chemistry and a natural flair for thinking in new digital and automated solutions
  • Stakeholder management as a part of your DNA 


Experience with analysis at CMOs are an advantageFluency in both written and spoken English is required, while proficiency in Danish is a plus. As a person you have a positive and open-minded approach, which is helpful in an ever-changing project environment. You have a natural way of establishing new networks and strong communication skills that allow you to build fruitful relations to both colleagues and stakeholders. Finally, you are a team player and contribute to reaching our team goals.

 

About the department
The CMC Analytical Development is an integral part of CMC Analysis and Characterisation, located in Novo Nordisk Park, Måløv, greater Copenhagen. The department comprises four highly skilled analytical teams with a total of 86 employees, divided into two analysis teams and two development teams. The analysis teams are responsible for all GMP activities, including analysing all in-process, drug substance, and drug product samples during development. The development teams, for which the available position is intended, are responsible for all analytical development activities. The analytical platform in department primarily utilizes HPLC/UHPLC, iCIEF, CE-SDS, and LC-MS.

Providing analytical support to all parts of Novo Nordisk, the department acts as link between the Research and Product Supply, spanning from early development to phase 3 clinical trials and registration. The responsibility for the analytical support across the organisation also means that stakeholder management is a key focus in the department.
