The position
As Research Scientist you will be part of the Peptide & Protein Characterization team with 20 highly skilled colleagues (Specialists, Scientists and Laboratory Technicians).

Your responsibilities will be: 

  • Utilize cutting-edge techniques such as NMR and LC-MS to analyse large molecules in our pipeline, aiding to their journey to market.
  • Develop innovative solutions for complex analytical challenges.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams.
  • Leverage a strong GMP mindset to balance quality levels between GSP and GMP activities.
  • Be a key player in the NMR Center of Excellence at Novo Nordisk, ensuring both innovative solutions for pipeline products and robust continuous operations for marketed products.

 

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess a PhD or postdoctoral experience, preferably in the field of NMR or related disciplines. Process relevant industry experience is also an option. Furthermore, you have:

  • Practical expertise in designing NMR experiments within peptides, proteins and/or oligonucleotides and a strong understanding of instrumentation.
  • Experience with LC-MS for protein and peptide characterization is advantageous.
  • A GMP mindset with a focus on method and equipment qualification.
  • Experience as a project coordinator.
  • a thorough understanding of the drug development process.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from technical data.

About the Department

CMC Product and Process Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.

CMC Analytical Support department is part of the area CMC Analytical Development and Characterisation is responsible for developing analytical methods to support API and Drug Product Development for Clinical Trials and supports with specialised analysis broadly in Novo Nordisk.

In CMC Analytical Support we are the experts tasked with solving complex analytical problems using advanced equipment like high field NMR and high-end LC-MS to address challenges in the drug development process. While most of our work involves GSP activities, our department also houses the Novo Nordisk Center of Excellence for NMR, responsible for all NMR analyses on clinical and commercial products, along with other highly specialized GMP analyses.
