The Data Integration & Ontologies department at Novo Nordisk is looking for a Research Ontologist with strong communication and leadership skills to support our data management initiative.

About the department

The newly established department of Data Integration & Ontologies aims at digitization of data from early research. With FAIR principles as the foundation, the department aims at simplifying the process of data capture using semantic models to establish interoperability across data sets from pre-clinical research. The long-term vision of the department is to create a digital mindset by driving the adoption of FAIR principles across the pipeline. This department plays a key role in the intersection between research scientists, application developers and data modelers. The team will act as a liaison among these groups to ensure the quality and consistency of data being generated while showcasing strong gains from analytics models using clean data.

As a Research Ontologist, you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the adoption of standardized vocabularies and ontologies thereby ensuring semantic interoperability across the early research pipeline.
