Project Controller, CAPEX Expansions

Are you an experienced project controller with a track record in monitoring and managing project progress, status and finances, communicating these to senior stakeholders and collaborating with diverse business areas and stakeholders? Are you ready to take on a key role in the planning, managing and cost controlling for some of Novo Nordisk’s important strategic projects? If so, then we hope you would like to become our new Project Controller.

 

The Position
As a Project Controller, you will be responsible for collaborating in the project cost control function within the Program Management Office. This role will involve working closely with project managers, engineering partners and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and that cost control processes and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle. You will report directly to the Head of PMO (Project Management Office). 
As a Project Controller, your key responsibilities, amongst others, will include:  
•    Continuously monitor and furnish valuable insights to project managers, to support in ensuring projects stay on track, meet deadlines and stay within budget. 
•    Craft and present comprehensive reports including financial data and risk overview to management in an engaging and accessible manner. 
•    Implement, conduct, and maintain regular review meetings with project managers and work package owners.  
•    Dive into financial data to uncover trends and variances, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making. 
•    Proactively forecast, monitor, and report on cost burn-rate and contingencies, ensuring transparency and enabling proactive cost management. 
•    Support Project Managers and line managers with creating easy-to-understand presentations and reports for various meetings. 


Qualifications
Ideally you have the following qualifications or similar:
•    A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management or similar. 
•    Proven experiences of 8-10 years of experience in similar position.
•    Track record of working with project management methodologies.  
•    Track record and solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. 
•    Experience from engineering and construction projects of large-scale facilities from beginning to end.
•    Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 
•    Fluency in both written and verbal English. Proficiency in Danish is an advantage.

About the Organisation & Department
The project organisation is of the Fill & Finish Expansions and consists of a PVP (Project Vice President) heading up a Mid-scale projects, a portfolio of projects with dedicated Project Directors managing a specific project. You will report directly to the Head of PMO (Project Management Office). 

Fill & Finish Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built expansion facilities across Novo Nordisk. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. Fill & Finish Expansions has a clear global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.
