Pharmacist for Manufacturing Development - Tablets process support and optimization

Category:  Manufacturing
Location:

Måløv, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

In this 1 year maternity cover you will have the opportunity to show your full potential during your participation in a wide range of optimization tasks in connection with tablet production.

About the department

The department Oral Finished Products (OFP) Manufacturing Development is organisationally placed between Research & Development (R&D) and the production departments. We, Manufacturing Development, consist of about 120 employees divided into six teams.

Some of the responsibilities in the department (not only our team) are: Upscaling of new tablet products from R&D, optimization of existing manufacturing processes of tablets (Life Cycles Management), delivering tablets to clinical trials in phase 3, expert support to the production supporters, project management, product stability and authority registrations.

The department is a part of Product Supply (PS).

The Job

This 1 year position (maternity cover) is a typical entrance position. In the beginning you will participate in process optimizations and documentation of these, typically together with more experienced colleagues. This may include Life Cycles Management of already approved products and the In Process Control (IPC) methods. You will also participate in continuous updating and preparation of documentation for the authorities.

You will continuously become more and more responsible as you get to know our production processes better and better, and you show that you can take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for an academic – it’s okay if you just finished your education. We imagine that you have a scientific background such as pharmacist, chemist or engineer and most likely with knowledge of manufacturing equipment for the manufacture of granules and tablets. You need to have an interest in how production equipment is structured and how it can be modified, as most optimizations in already approved products will be related to the equipment. We do not expect you to have several years of experience, but we do expect you to be ready to get to know our manufacturing processes through a wide range of different tasks.

In addition, it should come naturally to you to take the initiative and put yourself in play. You are good at creating an overview and have the courage to solve new types of tasks. You want to work with documentation in a structured way across our area and in close cooperation with other areas (e.g. regulatory department (RA) or Quality Control (QC)). You're thorough when required, and you're a team player who offers to participate in all types of tasks when your colleagues need help. You thrive on collaborating with many different employee groups such as technicians, chemists and specialists.
