The position
In this role, you will be responsible for global methods for Off-line NIR procedures across manufacturing sites. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Ensure NIR methods are fit for the intended use and in a validated state.
· Drive and support Life Cycle Management activities e.g., update of models, revalidation, performance, and transfer of methods across production sites and QC labs.
· Participate in/lead method troubleshooting and investigations across sites by analyzing data to identify anomalies and propose solutions.
· Provide scientific support on NIR on a global scale.
· Participate in a cross-organizational collaboration (QC, IT, Production, QA).
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need to:
· Hold a MSc or a PhD degree in pharmacy, chemistry, engineering, food science, or a related field.
· Be experienced in mathematical modeling using MATLAB.
· Have skills or experience with some spectroscopy techniques such as NIR or FTIR off-line methods.
· Ideally, have skills/experience with chemometrics.
· It will be advantageous if you have experience with method implementation in a GMP environment in the pharmaceutical industry or in medical devices or food industry.

About the department
The position is a 12-month maternity cover in the Launch & Scaling department in the Manufacturing Science and Technology area in Emerging Technologies. This area is part of Novo Nordisk’s oral solid dosage units, where we validate, optimize and maintain analytical methods for oral products and support QC around the world to get tablet products for patients living with obesity, diabetes, and any future oral solid dosage treatment for other diseases to the market.
The department currently consists of around 35 employees, including professionals, laboratory technicians, specialists, project managers and managers, distributed in two teams.
