As a Laboratory Technician in Development ADME, you generate high-quality analytical data that reveals how potential new medicines are absorbed, distributed, metabolised and excreted. Using LC-MS, you assess a broad range of molecules across biological matrices, giving scientists the evidence they need to progress new drug candidates. Your work supports drug safety evaluation and regulatory submissions, helping bring safer, more effective treatments to people living with serious chronic diseases.
 
What you'll bring

  • An education as a Laboratory Technician
  • Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS)
  • Experience with sample preparation of biological matrices
  • The technical capability and interest to maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS instrumentation
  • A digital mindset, with an interest in improving laboratory workflows through digitalisation and automation, including software applications for data processing
  • Effective written and spoken English
  • The ability to work independently, systematically and proactively, while enjoying close collaboration
  • You are open, flexible and solution-oriented, with a can-do mindset.
  • You take responsibility for your work and enjoy balancing hands-on laboratory activities with technical problem-solving and teamwork.
  • Experience from bioanalysis, drug metabolism or pharmaceutical development. Most importantly, you are motivated to develop your knowledge within the ADME field.

 

What you'll do
You work in a scientifically diverse environment where analytical technologies answer important questions about the metabolism of drug candidates. You will:
  • Plan and conduct LC-MS-based analyses of drug candidates and related compounds in biological matrices
  • Perform sample preparation and support a broad range of Development ADME studies
  • Process analytical data and contribute to interpreting results together with scientists
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS instrumentation and other laboratory equipment
  • Contribute to developing and optimising analytical workflows and laboratory processes, and ensure high-quality experimental documentation
  • Participate in or drive local digitalisation and automation initiatives

 

Who you'll work with
You will join Development ADME, a team of 10 skilled scientists and laboratory technicians who provide scientific insight into the ADME properties and drug-drug interaction potential of drug candidates. The team's work spans late-stage discovery through non-clinical and clinical development towards drug registration.
Working side by side with scientists and fellow technicians, you will combine different areas of expertise to find the best answers. It is an open, collaborative and scientifically challenging environment that values knowledge sharing, high-quality experimental work and learning from one another.

You will build expertise in advanced analytical technologies while gaining broad insight into how ADME science supports drug development across a highly specialized R&D organization. The variety of molecules, studies, and development projects gives you continual opportunities to grow your technical capabilities and your understanding of drug development. You will be trusted to take ownership, make your voice heard, and develop through practical experience and relevant learning offerings.
Salary and benefits: The annual base salary ranges from 437,600 to 643,200 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. Placement within the range will be assessed during recruitment based on your skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
 
A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pension scheme (currently 13% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution) in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees (Industriens Funktionæroverenskomst or “IFO”). Benefits also include a free choice account of currently 10% and 4% holiday allowance.
