The position
As a member of our multi‑national scientific team, you will collaborate on the development of innovative peptides that aim to improve the lives of people living with serious chronic diseases.
The primary focus of the position is within the early research pipeline, where research projects are matured. You will work closely with colleagues in dedicated project teams during the early research phase, with a strong focus on laboratory work. Your responsibilities will include the synthesis and purification of modified peptides. In addition, you will help ensure that laboratory equipment is kept in good working condition, and you should be comfortable performing instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
Some of your main tasks will include:
- Planning and executing the synthesis and purification of modified peptides
- Analysing and characterising samples using UPLC and LC‑MS
- Collaborating with project chemistry teams to interpret experimental data and prepare findings for discussion
- Performing daily maintenance of instruments
- Contributing to the development and implementation of novel automated workflows

Peptide Research is a well‑established part of Therapeutics Discovery within R&D, focused on discovering and developing peptides and proteins to support Novo Nordisk’s portfolio of oral and injectable biologics. Our work spans design, synthesis, and technology‑driven innovation to continually strengthen the discovery pipeline.
This position is based in Måløv (Greater Copenhagen) where three closely connected departments share office and lab facilities and collaborate dynamically across teams.

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a motivated team player who thrives in an international scientific environment and is passionate about contributing to meaningful research.
Whether you're newly graduated or have some experience, you'll bring:
- An education as a Laboratory Technician (Laborant) with ideally some experience from industry or an academic setting
- Experience and knowledge within organic synthesis, peptide chemistry, preparative HPLC, or ion-exchange chromatography
- Knowledge of standard analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, and LC-MS
- Self-driven and organized approach with the ability to proactively find solutions or seek guidance when challenges occur
- Strong collaboration skills and a positive drive to succeed together as a team
- Motivation to expand your skill set and adapt new work routines in line with technological advances
