The position

As a Department LEAN Partner, you will be a key player in driving and developing the LEAN culture and ensuring transparency and progress of LEAN in our large QC departments. We are committed to increasing productivity through both LEAN and technological innovation in our analytical processes. The LEAN Partner should engage in the development of LEAN within their department but also play a role in supporting and ensuring the roll-out of cross-functional strategic initiatives in collaboration with LEAN specialists across the CVP area. You will be part of a very ambitious LEAN culture and work with like-minded colleagues, where learning and improvement are key in the daily work.

Your day-to-day tasks will consist of:

  • Understanding and highlighting business issues and opportunities, ensuring a LEAN response to business challenges by initiating projects/activities and monitoring their progress and benefits
  • Coaching of Director  and Department Leadership Team and Specialists at  shop floor and in particular support to new managers, as they are essential to promoting and sustaining the LEAN culture
  • Supporting the build of internal LEAN competencies in the department (Shop Floor, Problem Solving, Standards, Training, and Process Confirmation)
  • Supporting the execution of strategic objectives, by ensuring they are integrated into the daily visual management systems and follow-up

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you:

  • hold a master's degree with a scientific focus or similar proven experience
  • have proven LEAN knowledge with a strong toolbox
  • preferably bring experience from working on the shop floor in a manufacturing or analytical setting
  • previous management experience would be seen as an advantage
  • are fluent in English and can communicate verbally in Danish

 

On a personal level, you are a team player but are not scared of working on your own when coaching and challenging leaders or collecting data on the shop floor. You have experience implementing optimization projects and naturally involve and motivate your customers to realize the business targets.

 

We are looking for someone comfortable engaging and proactively advising stakeholders at all levels of the organization, possessing strong coaching skills, and adept at giving feedback. You are a great inspiration and skilled at motivating people for change, utilizing strong strategic and analytical skills, a persistent and thorough approach, and a 'can-do' attitude

 

 

About the department

Emerging Technologies (ET) is a newly established area in Novo Nordisk. We have a growing pipeline of new products, many of which are based on emerging technology platforms coming into Product Supply via internal development projects and externally acquired assets.

ET is well-known for having a pioneering spirit as well as a curious and daring approach and we play a key role in developing and producing future treatments for millions of patients around the world.

The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 25,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 55,000 employees.

 

You will be joining the CVP area of Drug Product Manufacturing Development & Quality Control (DP MDev & QC), which has process and product responsibility for existing and future oral drug products post-launch, as well as performing all analyses on products after method transfer. We work across the ET organization to improve the productivity of our production and analytical processes. The area currently consists of 7 departments and is expanding to prepare for new drug products.
