Help shape the future of laboratory science by making it more secure. As cybersecurity threats evolve, so must the systems that power our research. Are you ready to be the trusted advisor who ensures our global laboratories stay one step ahead?

Your new role

As our new IT Security Manager, you will drive and continuously improve cybersecurity across laboratory IT systems in Global Research (GR) and Therapeutic Development (TD). You'll partner with scientists, system owners, architects, and security specialists to protect the systems that fuel our scientific breakthroughs, while acting as a trusted advisor on both existing and emerging laboratory technologies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising projects, system owners, and stakeholders on cybersecurity requirements and best practices
  • Identifying security risks and facilitating the implementation of mitigating controls
  • Collaborating with Global Information Security and other security functions to ensure alignment with Novo Nordisk standards and IT Security requirements
  • Representing Research laboratories in cybersecurity forums and networks, and facilitating governance, awareness, and collaboration across global research laboratories
  • Monitoring emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements impacting laboratory environments
  • Contributing to the development of secure architectures and security-by-design practices for laboratory solutions

Your new department

In Enterprise IT & Quality, you will be part of a business area that drives impact across the full Novo Nordisk value chain. We strive to stay close to our stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver on their needs, helping reach millions of people living with serious chronic diseases. Our focus is on being at the forefront within our three areas; ensuring the highest quality for patients, being a trusted tech leader and an environmentally responsible business.

You will join Computerised Laboratory Systems (CLAS), a growing organisation within LIMS, Planning & Ecosystems (LPE), led by Søren Vodsgaard. CLAS was established to bring together Laboratory IT, IT Compliance, and specialised laboratory system expertise from across Novo Nordisk into one enterprise organisation, with the purpose of ensuring that computerised laboratory systems become a competitive advantage for Novo Nordisk by delivering scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. Today, CLAS consists of 40+ specialists across laboratory IT, compliance, validation, architecture, and operations – acting as the bridge between laboratory organisations and Enterprise IT, and partnering closely with scientists, vendors, infrastructure teams, and cybersecurity professionals to deliver and operate the systems that power laboratory work.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a curious and structured cybersecurity professional who thrives in complex, stakeholder-rich environments and enjoys translating technical topics into meaningful business conversations. To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:

  • Several years of experience within cybersecurity, infrastructure, or enterprise IT
  • Experience working with risk assessments, security controls, vulnerability management, or security architecture
  • A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including identity and access management, network security, endpoint security, and cloud technologies
  • Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments, with the ability to communicate technical security topics to non-technical audiences
  • A structured and analytical approach to problem solving

Experience within research, laboratory, pharmaceutical, life science, or other highly regulated environments will be considered a strong advantage.
