The position
As Director of the newly-established department, CS Digital Solutions, you will report to the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of CMC Clinical Supplies (CS) and be part of CS leadership team. You will be leading an organisation of 20+ employees organised in two teams.
CS Digital Solutions, covers a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including driving the digitalisation agenda in the CVP area, managing IT infrastructure, security and compliance.
The department is responsible for development, maintenance and support of critical IT solutions for Novo Nordisk clinical supply chain such as our clinical Manufacturing Execution System (MES), clinical site collaboration systems (Interactive Response Technology (IRT) systems, Handling of Temperature (HOT) system) and local CS planning IT systems.
The opportunities are many, and key is to prioritise and set the right direction to create impact and support CS’s and CMC’s strategic direction. You will mature the area, and guide and develop a diverse team, spearheading their success.
As the Head of CS Digital Solutions, you will:
- Evolve and maintain the CS Digital Strategy and roadmap to support the organisation's objectives
- Build, shape, and lead the organisation needed to execute the digital strategy
- Be responsible for transformation, development and compliance of the IT infrastructure and systems, including all IT projects in CS
- Development, maintenance and support related to both GxP and non-GxP IT systems
- Ensure collaborations with key internal and external stakeholders and vendors to ensure continuously improving performance of Novo Nordisk clinical trial supply chain
- Represent CS in the cross-functional clinical site collaboration Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
Furthermore, you will demonstrate strong and visible leadership, maintaining employee engagement through performance management, coaching, and talent development. You will also be a leading inspiration to promote our Novo Nordisk values.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree or PhD within IT, Engineering, natural science, data science, supply chain management or a related discipline along with proven leadership experience.
To be successful in this position, we expect you to have:
- Experience as business leader (leading leaders) within digitalisation and automation
- Experience within digital transformation, including development and execution of strategic roadmaps for digital transformation
- Knowledge within digital technologies such as data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), IT/OT integration, digital twins, automation, and digital infrastructure
- Excellent business leadership skills within maturing organisations, connecting with stakeholders, and seeking impact on the business
- Preferably experience from the pharmaceutical industry, biotech, or similar
In addition, you are recognised for your communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation. You work collaboratively across the value chain to align goals and drive results by getting buy-in for digital transformation initiatives.
About the area
As part of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, Control) Product and Process Development, CMC Clinical Supplies makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We pack and distribute products to clinical trials in more than 50 countries ensuring timely supply to patients. The CS area consists of 300+ employees organised in 6 departments/units working closely together sharing a strong focus on patients throughout the area.
