R&D Digital Labs, AI & Digital Innovation
Are you passionate about the intersection of science and technology? Do you want to shape the digital tools that scientists rely on every day to advance research into serious chronic diseases? Join us in R&D Digital Labs and help transform how our laboratories work – one product, one workflow, one breakthrough at a time.
Your new role
As Digital Product Specialist in R&D Digital Labs, you will contribute to the development, roll-out and continuous improvement of laboratory IT solutions supporting daily scientific work, including Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) products and related systems. You will work side by side with scientists to understand their workflows, needs and challenges, translating these insights into clear requirements, user stories, training material and adoption activities. Within our IT delivery teams, you will act as a domain expert in laboratory execution – a key link between laboratory end-users, product teams and technical specialists.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Partnering with scientists to understand laboratory needs and translate them into product concepts, requirements and user-centric outcomes.
- Collaborating with technical teams to define and deliver digital solutions that integrate with laboratory systems and support research workflows.
- Converting complex scientific and business needs into clear problem statements, technical approaches and prioritised product backlog items.
- Supporting end-to-end product lifecycle activities, including discovery, definition, planning, delivery, release readiness, training, adoption and continuous improvement.
- Facilitating collaboration across scientific, engineering, data/AI and IT stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of requirements and success criteria.
- Contributing to documentation and governance processes, such as requirements, release readiness and change considerations, while supporting FAIR data practices and more standardised data registration across laboratory workflows.
- Monitoring user feedback and solution performance, representing the laboratory user journey in the IT product teams you collaborate with.
Your new department
In Research & Development, you'll be part of a unit that explores bold scientific ideas and advances them into clinical testing. We combine curiosity, AI tools, and human data to develop transformative therapies. Through collaboration and operational excellence, we shape and deliver an innovative pipeline to meet future patient needs.
Within R&D sits Digital Labs, part of AI & Digital Innovation. Our team is responsible for delivering digital solutions to the laboratories – from sample management to inventory management and everything in between. Based in Måløv, we work at the crossroads of science, data and technology, ensuring that our scientists have the digital tools they need to accelerate discovery and generate high-quality, FAIR-compliant data that fuels the next generation of therapies.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a curious and structured professional who is energised by working hands-on with scientific teams and the IT systems that support them.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- An academic background in life sciences, chemistry, biology, biostatistics or similar – or proven experience working effectively with scientific teams in a technical setting.
- Experience supporting digital products or digital innovation initiatives, for example through product coordination, business analysis, product delivery or adoption support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders and establish yourself as a trusted partner.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
It would be an advantage if you also have:
- The ability to translate business and scientific problems into technical solutions, including problem framing, requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with laboratory digitalisation, laboratory IT systems or Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) solutions.
- Familiarity with iterative ways of working, such as Agile.
- The ability to bridge scientific, business and technical perspectives with clarity.
As a person, you are curious and structured, with a practical mindset and a genuine interest in learning. You collaborate effectively across functions, manage multiple stakeholders and priorities, and communicate clearly with both scientific and technical audiences.
