Your new role

As Associate Scientist/ Research Scientist you will join the department Oral Delivery Technologies, a vibrant and science-focused team of scientists and technicians, where innovation is at the core. Your main objective will be to formulate therapeutic proteins and peptides into oral solid dosage forms in close collaboration with a team of Scientists and Technicians driving both planning and execution of laboratory activities. As our team covers formulation, analysis and characterization we will bring individual competences into play to meet our goals, thus there will be opportunities to contribute across all our pharmaceutical disciplines.

Furthermore, as an Associate scientist / Research scientist, you will:

  • Design laboratory experiments, applying innovation into ground-breaking research
  • Contribute to project deliverables by performing laboratory experiments
  • Collect and report results with high accuracy and quality
  • Participate in projects progression, contribute with oral formulation expertise, give input to project plans, present data, handle scientific challenges and discuss results and issues
  • Interact with scientists and technicians to ensure project collaboration
  • Contribute to constantly improving methods, techniques and approaches

Your new department
We are both focused on driving oral formulation activities in research projects as well as driving early-stage innovation with oral delivery of biologics. You will be based in Måløv, greater Copenhagen, Denmark, co-located with colleagues representing the full research value chain for peptides and proteins research. It’s ground-breaking work with the promise of improving the lives of millions of people with chronic conditions. Your skills and qualifications

You hold a relevant master’s degree or PhD degree in Life Sciences or similar level of experience (pharmaceutical sciences or other relevant discipline), having experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Furthermore, the following skills are considered highly relevant

  • Trained in formulation laboratory work, and pharmaceutical characterisation of solid dosage forms, like disintegration, dissolution, and HPLC analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in tabletting and capsule related processes such as spray-drying and coating.
  • Innovative mindset with a track record of research within the field of oral drug delivery.

As a person, you are curious and driven by the basic tenet of science. You thrive in a changing and dynamic work environment and have a can-do attitude with the ability to execute a plan and keep deadlines. You can work independently and are a good team player that can engage in constructive collaborations as part of project teams working towards the same goal.
