Associate Scientist for Bioanalysis in Early Research
Måløv, Capital Region of Denmark, DK
.
We are looking for a highly motivated associate scientist to support our research projects with bioanalysis data from advanced analytical platforms. If you enjoy hands‑on laboratory work, data analysis and collaborating closely with project teams, this is your opportunity to join the Centre for Bioanalysis and ADME at Novo Nordisk in Denmark. Whether you are newly graduated or have experience, we encourage you to apply.
Your new role
As an associate scientist, you will contribute to scientific research that supports drug discovery. You will have a strong focus on laboratory work and delivery of data to progress research projects. You will develop advanced analytical methods for the bioanalysis of diverse molecular formats such as proteins, peptides and small molecules by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) or by immunoassays. You will apply these methods for analysis of biological samples from pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies. You may also provide ADME support to research projects to ensure optimisation and selection of compounds for further development. In addition, you will be involved in automation and digitalization of laboratory workflows.
Your work will be organised within multidisciplinary, cross-functional project teams where you will collaborate closely with other team members. In addition, you will work with your fellow scientists within Centre for Bioanalysis and ADME to establish and optimize new methods bioanalytical methods and generate high-quality data.
Your new department
The Centre for Bioanalysis and ADME is part of the Therapeutics Discovery area within Research & Development and is based in the greater Copenhagen area. We excel in bioanalysis and ADME characterisation. The department is responsible for bioanalysis by LC-MS and immunoassays of molecular formats such as peptides, proteins and small molecules. ADME contributions include, but are not limited to, metabolic stability assays, metabolism ID and plasma protein binding. As part of our continued efforts to improve methods and workflows, we have a strong focus on automation and digitalisation.
You will be part of a collaborative and scientifically ambitious environment, where knowledge sharing, learning and teamwork are central, and where your contributions directly support high‑impact research projects across the organisation.
Your skills and qualifications
You are a curious and proactive scientist who enjoys experimental work and collaborating with others. We are looking for someone who brings:
- A Master’s degree within a relevant discipline (e.g., pharmacy, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry)
- Up to 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Background or interest in advanced analytical platforms for quantitative analysis of complex biological samples.
- Knowledge of bioanalytical principles and techniques such as e.g., separation techniques (e.g., HPLC or UPLC), MS or immunoassays.
- Experience and/or an interest in automation and digitalisation of laboratory workflows.
As a person, you thrive working in an advanced laboratory setting. You take initiative and are a strong team player. You are self-driven and enjoy taking responsibility for complex tasks. You have a strong commitment to innovative solutions and consistently deliver high data quality.
