Do you want to work hands-on with advanced purification technologies and contribute to early drug discovery? We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Purification Research department in Måløv, Denmark. Here, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality proteins and peptides that support the development of future therapies.

 

Your new role

As an Advanced Laboratory Technician in Purification Research, you will take a leading role in delivering purified recombinant proteins and peptides to early-stage research projects.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving purification workflows, ensuring consistent delivery of fit-for-purpose proteins and peptides
  • Operating and optimizing chromatography systems, liquid handlers, and analytical equipment
  • Working independently in the laboratory while supporting and guiding colleagues when relevant
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Contributing to continuous workflow improvements and efficient collaboration within and outside the Purification Research department

 

You will be part of a workflow team delivering multiple purified proteins per week, supporting project progression towards identifying new lead candidates.

 

Your new department

Purification Research consists of two departments (Purification Research 1 and 2) with around 24 highly engaged scientists and laboratory technicians. The department is part of Peptide & Protein Research in Therapeutics Discovery. The department supports early research by delivering purified proteins and peptides from recombinant expression. We work with a combination of platform-based automated purification and customized solutions, contributing to lead molecule selection and preparing processes for transfer to CMC.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled laboratory technician with strong experience in protein and peptide purification within a pharmaceutical or similar industrial setting. You bring:

  • Extensive experience with preparative column chromatography
  • Strong hands-on expertise with ÄKTA systems and Unicorn software
  • Solid understanding of analytical methods (e.g. SE-UPLC, RP-UPLC, LC-MS)
  • Experience working with multiple molecular formats and working with several purification systems in parallel
  • A continuous improvement mindset and strong collaboration skills
  • Experience with digital tools, automation, or AI applications is considered an advantage

 

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and motivated by delivering high-quality results. You enjoy working independently in the laboratory while also contributing positively to team collaboration, and you communicate clearly with colleagues in the expression and cultivation departments.

Salary and Benefits: The Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600.00 to 734,400.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

 

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pension scheme (currently 13% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution) in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees (Industriens Funktionæroverenskomst or “IFO”). Benefits also include a free choice account of currently 11% and 4% holiday allowance.
