This is your opportunity to work with advanced technologies in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.
Your new role
In this lab-based role, you will be working with a wide range of state-of-the-art biophysical characterisation methods to support research projects across multiple therapeutic modalities. You will be part of a dynamic team where science, collaboration, and innovation are at the core of everything we do.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and characterising liquid drug product formulations, including stability testing
- Working with techniques such as light scattering, chromatography, SAXS, DLS, and related methods
- Contributing to the optimisation and automation of workflows and routines to increase screening throughput and minimise material consumption

- Acting as a mentor and role model for more junior colleagues
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on laboratory work with method development and continuous improvement in a cutting-edge research environment.
Your new department
The Biophysics and Injectable Formulation research area consists of three departments sharing responsibility for biophysical characterisation of biomolecules and injectable formulation development from the early discovery to the pre-clinical stage of our R&D pipeline.
We house an extensive portfolio of state-of-the-art instrumentation and automation and are part of the Drug Product Research unit. This unit is responsible for early injectable and oral formulation development and analysis of peptides, proteins, and new therapeutic modalities across the Novo Nordisk research portfolio.

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
- Are educated as a laboratory technician with at least 6 years relevant experience in Pharma R&D
- Have hands-on experience within biophysics and protein chemistry or injectable formulation development of pharmaceuticals
- Have hands-on experience with high-throughput biophysical screening and the associated automated liquid handlers and data solutions
- Are familiar with several of the above-mentioned techniques, such as chromatography, light scattering, and SAXS
As a person, you are dedicated, engaged, and proactive. You take initiative and perform advanced tasks, including those that may not be defined by processes and procedures. You are a strong team player who is motivated to learn new methods and processes. You work diligently, are well organised, communicate comfortably in English both verbally and in writing, and take pride in delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.
