Join Novo Nordisk as an Advanced Laboratory Technician and contribute to the generation of high-quality preclinical data that supports the discovery of next-generation treatments. In this 1-year temporary position, you will combine hands-on expertise in in vivo pharmacology with digital tools and technologies, helping to strengthen and modernize our research workflows in a collaborative and scientifically driven environment.
The position
As an Advanced Laboratory Technician, you will take end-to-end ownership of in vivo pharmacology studies, working closely with scientists to deliver high-quality experimental outcomes that support our drug discovery programs.
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the execution of preclinical pharmacology studies in rodent and large animal models while ensuring high scientific and ethical standards.

Performing advanced in vivo procedures, including dosing, blood sampling, surgical interventions, tissue collection, and laboratory analyses.

Collaborating with scientists to plan studies, optimize workflows, and deliver project milestones across obesity and obesity-related comorbidity research.

Supporting laboratory digitalisation through the use of electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN), LIMS, and other digital research tools.

Managing experimental data and laboratory operations, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance, and efficient day-to-day laboratory activities.
Your new department
You will join Obesity and Comorbidities Pharmacology, at Novo Nordisk. The department provides in vivo pharmacology expertise to support the discovery of novel therapies for obesity and obesity-related comorbidities, including MASH, cardiovascular disease, heart failure and other emerging disease areas. We work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to generate translational insights, understand disease mechanisms, and deliver robust pharmacology data that enables confident portfolio decisions and advances the development of new medicines.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

A Laboratory Technician degree or equivalent qualification with a strong background in experimental pharmacology or biomedical sciences.

At least four years of relevant experience working with in vivo pharmacology studies,

Hands-on experience with in vivo techniques, experimental data handling, and electronic documentation systems.

Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600.00 to 734,400.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
