Are you interested in working with in vitro biology? Do you find it exciting and inspiring to be part of a research team developing new treatments for diabetes? We are looking for a dedicated technician to support our early-stage research pipeline in Islet & Insulin Biology.
Your new role
As an Advanced Laboratory Technician, you will:
- Participate in the in vitro characterisation and development of new therapeutics for diabetes care
- Employ analytical techniques such as receptor binding assays, ELISA, as well as cellular assays
- Plan and conduct experiments in the laboratory and take an active part in data handling and analysis in collaboration with a scientist
- Maintain laboratory supplies and be responsible for the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Keep accurate and detailed records of your laboratory work in English using electronic laboratory notebooks
Ultimately, your work will contribute to improving the quality of life for millions of people with diabetes around the world.
Your new department
The Islet & Insulin Biology department focuses on developing transformational insulins and improving beta cell health to improve diabetes treatment. For this role, the primary focus is transformational insulin development. The department consists of ten scientists and seven technicians. The working atmosphere is characterised by an open, cheerful, and informal tone. With a wide range of nationalities in the team, both work-related and social communication is in English.
Your skills and qualifications
To be successful in this position, you have:
- An education as a Laboratory Technician or similar
- A minimum of 4 years of practical laboratory experience, preferably within research
- Experience with receptor binding assays, ELISA, and mammalian cell cultures
- Preferably experience with programs such as Excel and Prism
- Professional-level written and spoken English

Salary and Benefits: The Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600.00 to 734,400.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pension scheme (currently 13% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution) in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees (Industriens Funktionæroverenskomst or “IFO”). Benefits also include a free choice account of currently 11% and 4% holiday allowance.
