Your new role:
As an Advanced Laboratory Technician, you will take end-to-end ownership of in vivo pharmacology studies, working closely in partnership with scientists to deliver high-quality experimental outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the execution of preclinical studies, including testing new compounds in rodent models (rats and mice), ensuring high scientific and ethical standards.
- Performing advanced laboratory procedures, including dosing, blood sampling, surgical and microsurgical interventions, tissue collection, and wet lab analyses.
- Collaborating with scientists to design experiments, optimise workflows, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones within diabetes research.
- Managing experimental data and documentation, including ELN entries, data handling, analysis, reporting, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Supporting laboratory operations and logistics, including maintaining equipment, implementing new techniques, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and collaborative research environment.
Your new department
You will join the Diabetes & Complications Pharmacology department, which sits within the Diabetes & Cardio-Renal In Vivo Pharmacology area. The department is a team of 14 scientists, technicians, and researchers working with in vivo pharmacology to support the drug discovery pipeline. The team focuses on generating translational insights, understanding disease mechanisms, and delivering high-quality PK/PD data to advance the development of new treatments within diabetes and cardio-renal diseases.
Your skills and qualifications:
We are looking for a proactive and skilled laboratory professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A laboratory technician degree or equivalent, with strong knowledge of experimental pharmacology
- At least 4 years of relevant experience working with in vivo studies, particularly animal experiments in rodents
- Hands-on experience with experimental techniques, data handling, and documentation systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
- A structured and quality-focused approach to your work
As a person, you are independent and take full ownership of your work. You have a keen eye for detail and understand how precision drives high-quality results.You bring a strong ethical mindset when working with animal models and are confident handling complex, hands-on procedures. You are naturally curious, motivated to learn, and contribute with a digital mindset, actively improving workflows and data processes.

Salary and Benefits: The Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600.00 to 734,400.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pension scheme (currently 13% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution) in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees (Industriens Funktionæroverenskomst or “IFO”). Benefits also include a free choice account of currently 11% and 4% holiday allowance.
