Then read on, there is an exciting opportunity to join as a (Senior) Portfolio Manager - R&ED Portfolio.
 
The position
You will report to the Senior Director of R&ED Portfolio Management & Governance and your key responsibilities will include:
•    Ideation, planning and delivery of high-quality portfolio analyses that support the direction-setting and decision making by senior leaders.
•    Drive assessments of assets within the R&ED portfolio supporting the Governance Portfolio Management & Prioritisation Framework.
•    Management of cross-functional projects/initiatives/frameworks with well-defined scope and organizational reach as well as support to driving strategic portfolio initiatives.
•    Partnering with R&ED leadership and other stakeholders to structure portfolio discussions
•    Build portfolio forecasts (e.g. Fill & Flow), scenario analyses, simulations and optimization exercises 
•    Connecting with Global Project Teams (GPT), Finance, Commercial and Portfolio Management Offices across NN team and other cross-functional stakeholders to help structure portfolio activities, discussions, and cross functional alignment.
 
Qualifications
As a (Senior) Portfolio Manager, you will need to have: 

 • An academic degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance A combined background in science and business is a strong advantage.
• Ongoing supplementary training in relevant areas such as project, program, or portfolio management, execution, and change management is considered an advantage.
•    At least 3 years of experience in portfolio management within R&D, Commercial, or Corporate roles in pharma/biotech, or in strategy consulting for pharma/biotech.
•    Deep understanding of the drug discovery process from target identification through commercialisation.
•    Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

As a person, you will be proactive, innovative, and business-minded, with the ability to deliver high quality analyse with complex data to support strategic decision-making. You will be a quick learner of digital tools, able to communicate ideas clearly, and skilled at engaging with multiple stakeholders. With a solid understanding of the pharma industry and R&D, strong project management skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, you will bring energy, curiosity, and a proactive mindset to every challenge.
 
About the Department  
R&ED Portfolio Management & Governance team is part of the R&ED Strategy, Portfolio, Operation & Communication unit that serves as an internal staff function collaborating across the Novo Nordisk R&ED organisation to develop, refine and facilitate the execution of strategies to meet Novo Nordisk’s both R&ED and R&D aspirations. The unit directly supports and reports to the top management in R&ED and consists of professionals with backgrounds in science, business and consultancy.
