Senior Project Manager for Security

Category:  Engineering & Technical
Location:

Lyngby, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Do you want to play a key role in leading security projects across global aseptic manufacturing sites and ensure alignment with enterprise-level security requirements?
Join us as Senior Project Manager for Security, where you will work closely with sites and corporate stakeholders to drive security initiatives that support safe and compliant production worldwide.

Your new role

As a Security Project Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our sites, ensuring compliance with global security requirements. This includes broad stakeholder coordination and collaboration, as well as driving key topics that support site success.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Leading security projects for key strategic sites, including scope definition, planning, budget management, timeline coordination, risk mitigation, execution and closure
  • Supporting sites in translating security requirements into clear technical requirements and actionable implementation plans
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals, including Global Security, DD&IT, security engineers, operations teams, vendors and local site stakeholders
  • Overseeing security projects and driving development activities within the central programme supporting local projects
  • Providing strategic input to improve project governance, change control, status reporting and stakeholder communication
  • Conducting impact and risk assessments together with local sites to minimise risk and ensure appropriate prioritisation
  • Supporting urgent site-level priorities when critical issues arise and mentoring team members to foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture

Your new department

Aseptic Manufacturing Engineering (AME) plays a key role in accelerating a major transformation to improve performance across our global network of factories in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. This supports the growing number of people living with diabetes and obesity.

AME is an organisational unit within Aseptic Manufacturing (AM). With more than 9,000 employees, AM is a truly global organisation responsible for producing products to defeat serious chronic diseases. For more information, please visit https://www.novonordisk.com.

You will join Production Support in the Aseptic Manufacturing Security team. The team is newly established and has led the implementation of formal governance within Aseptic Manufacturing for handling security projects and escalations. Currently, the team consists of two project managers and one Associate Programme Director, supporting site projects across existing production sites (11) and expansion projects (4).

We monitor security projects and incidents globally and support the prioritisation of security initiatives in alignment with Corporate Global Security, who define the requirements. We collaborate across the organisation, embrace continuous learning, and apply the project management approach best suited to each local project—recognising that countries and cultures adopt different methodologies. At the same time, we operate within a common project model and governance framework for large-scale initiatives to ensure consistent oversight and delivery.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who thrives in complex, global environments. You bring:

  • A BSc degree or higher in IT, engineering, project management or a related analytical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • A proven track record with a minimum of 5-8 years of project delivery in large organisations (demonstrated results are more important than formal certifications)
  • Strong planning, stakeholder management and vendor management skills, with the ability to take ownership across functions
  • Experience working in global environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders and navigating diverse cultural contexts
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and across cultures
