Senior Manager, Aseptic Filling

Then join us in the Filling group which is part of a highly ambitious business area in Novo Nordisk called Technology Standards in Fill Finish Expansions, where we scale up the production capacities globally by working on executing Isolator Filling projects.
The Position
As a Senior Manager in the filling department, you have the dual mandate of leading Isolator Filling projects as well as being the people manager for a group of specialists and senior project managers working in this track. As a part of streamlining supplier engagement, program management is a key deliverable that the role will be taking on. The Isolator Filling lines thus being managed is planned to be implemented across the globe in a combination of both Novo Nordisk sites and/or CMOs.
While having people responsibilities to some of the senior members in the group, emphasis also lies on creating an excellent rapport with your peers in the management team as well as other key stakeholders like QA, Automation, Resource managers, Supply chain as well as your counterparts at local sites.
In the process of achieving this, the following key responsibilities are envisioned:
- Project Management under the Isolator Filling technology track using standard PM methodologies with emphasis on risk management and reporting.
- People management towards the group working in this technology track while being passionate about coaching and inspiring the team.
- Technical direction setting for the specialists and other resources working on either project execution or innovation tracks in the Isolator Filling domain.
- Program management towards a supplier by acting as an overarching lead representing a one point of contact for escalations.
- Managing the Lifecyle of Filling projects from Concept and Design stage all the way through FATs and SATs, until handover.
- Evaluating the ever-changing project landscape and working on maturing the project organization to match the needs.
- Being in an advisory role to the head of the department and engaging with the other leaders in the management group to maintain and define the future of Technology standards.
Your workplace will be based in Lyngby, Denmark but as there is collaboration required on a global scale, travel is expected to our other sites. It is estimated that this would be around 20% of the time per month.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you need to have an academic degree within Natural Sciences, Engineering or similar domains.
Additionally, we expect you to have:
- 10+ years of experience working on technical or complex projects ideally around the Filling technology or other Aseptic processes.
- Significant experience in people management roles where you have worked on coaching and developing people working in your team.
- Knowledge on how program management works and previous experience working with suppliers known in the pharmaceutical domain.
- Experience with driving design processes, documentation for qualification and implementation of new equipment and preferably filling lines.
- A quality mindset and a drive to create the “right” solutions while challenging the status quo supported with data.

About the Department
Our department Technology Standards is situated in the newly created SVP area of Fill & Finish Expansions. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 27,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 70,000 employees.
Fill & Finish Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now.
