Senior CFD Engineer

 

Are you an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) engineer ready to shape standards and direction across a global organisation? In this senior role, you will combine deep technical expertise with stakeholder collaboration to deliver high‑impact CFD solutions that support innovation and decision‑making across Novo Nordisk.

 

Your new role

As a Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor within CFD, driving projects from definition to delivery while setting standards and best practices across the area.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Setting direction for CFD tools, methodologies and standards across the organisation.
  • Driving and delivering CFD projects, ensuring high scientific quality and clear communication of results.
  • Acting as an ambassador for CFD, engaging with stakeholders across business units and with external partners.
  • Providing sparring to project managers and expert support when working with external consultants.
  • Mentoring and developing junior colleagues, sharing both technical knowledge and practical insight.

 

Your new department

You will join the Modelling and Simulation department, part of Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology, where CFD plays a key role in supporting projects across multiple lines of business. The department collaborates closely with internal experts, project teams and external partners, primarily based in Kongens Lyngby, while also supporting sites in Denmark and globally.

 

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring strong technical expertise combined with a collaborative and proactive mindset.

We expect you to have:

  • A master’s degree in engineering or similar, with a strong focus on fluid dynamics.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on experience working with CFD in an industrial or consultancy setting.
  • Solid experience performing CFD analyses and translating results into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
  • A broad foundation in fluid dynamics and the ability to select and apply the right modelling approach for each problem.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling you to explain complex concepts clearly and create alignment across teams.
  • Experience in model verification through physical testing is an advantage.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 54,250 DKK to 79,666 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
