Mechanical Engineer Intern
Step into a hands-on role where you'll design mechanical solutions for cutting-edge aseptic production equipment used in manufacturing sites across the globe. From 3D modelling and prototyping to test of new solutions that reach patients worldwide, this internship offers real engineering challenges and the chance to work with advanced technologies from day one.
Your new role
As our Mechanical Engineering Intern, you'll support the development of mechanical solutions that enable current and future aseptic production equipment to meet even higher performance standards. Working alongside experienced mechanical engineers and aseptic manufacturing specialists, you'll be part of a team that innovates for global impact. The internship typically lasts 5–6 months.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Generating ideas and designing mechanical solutions for advanced aseptic production systems
- Creating 2D and 3D models using CAD software
- Testing and prototyping solutions, including hands-on work with 3D printing
- Contributing to solutions that are implemented in production sites around the world (Denmark, China, Brazil, France, and the US)
- Collaborating with academics, technicians and external development partners across different disciplines and countries

You'll join the Mechanical Engineering Team in Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology, Technology Development and Innovation, based in Lyngby. This 14-person team innovates, develops and implements technologies and manufacturing solutions for production sites worldwide. Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern who is passionate about innovation and development of complex mechanical solutions. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Completed the first part of a technical academic degree, e.g. Mechanical Engineering (specific educational requirements to be confirmed with your educational institution)
- Strong interest in complex technical challenges and advanced mechanical solutions
- An analytical and innovative mindset with a passion for technology development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to navigate among global stakeholder interests
- A team-player mentality – outgoing, eager to search for opportunities, and ready to collaborate
- High motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced international environment
- Fluency in English

Salary and Benefits: If allowed by the educational institution from where the Intern is enrolled, the monthly salary is fixed. The monthly base rate is DKK 15,900 plus a pension scheme (currently 10% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution).
