The Position
As part of the Technical Pilot Team based in the Operational Readiness area, you will be a key player supporting and driving Commissioning and Ramp Up activities performed on new state-of-the-art Isolator Filling systems. The team is part of the global Future Filling Expansion Project (FFEx).
The focus for this position is to deliver technical expertise that ensures that new Filling Lines reach technical excellence and capacity goals on plan. You will be bringing your specialist and technical knowledge on Filling Lines and Isolators or retrieving the relevant knowledge when needed.
You will initially be positioned within the Technical Filling Standards area performing related commission and technical tasks, after which you will transition into focusing on supporting and driving Ramp-Ups to full capacities.
As the Filling Lines Engineer or Technician, your key tasks will include:
• Being the key technical player in vendor oversight during the equipment design, build and test phases thus leading up to participation in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Taking up a key role in various phases which the machine goes through at our different sites in the project – e.g. commissioning (SAT), IV, OV, PfV.
• Playing a lead role in technical troubleshooting on Isolator Filling systems. Hands on experience with trouble shooting is beneficial.
• Giving input to and ensuring that right training setups are in place for technical operations, by joining hands with different stakeholders (training team, local operations and core project group).
• Playing the part in continuous improvements in relevant processes and ensuring the SOPs and work instructions are fit for use according to different scenarios.
This position is (currently) based out of Lyngby Denmark, but it involves substantial travel activity to Vendors (in e.g. Germany) and Sites across the globe (e.g. China, France, Brazil and US). You will be travelling to the respective sites to support on the different validation and ramp up phases. It is estimated that you would be expected to travel around 50% of the time.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• An academical degree within Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical), or several years as technician in leading roles in aseptic filling.
• 5+ years of experience in filling lines.
• Well versed within aseptic filling operations, that caters around Isolator Filling technology.
• Experience from project work including introduction of new technologies or experience gained from the production floor working on the machine from a technician or maintenance background.
• A quality mindset and a drive to create the “right” solutions while challenging the status quo.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Our department Operational Readiness is based in Lyngby Denmark and is situated in the newly created SVP area of Fill & Finish Expansions. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approximately 28,500 of Novo Nordisk’s 72,000 employees.
Fill & Finish Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and built all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our aseptic production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future.
