Are you a bachelor’s or master’s student with an interest in Computational Fluid Dynamics and engineering problem‑solving? Would you like to apply your theoretical knowledge in a real‑world manufacturing environment while learning from experienced specialists? Then this 6-month internship could be your opportunity to gain hands-on experience within modelling and simulation at Novo Nordisk.

 

Your new role

As a CFD Engineering Intern, you will support ongoing modelling and simulation activities within Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology. You will work closely with experienced CFD engineers and contribute to analyses that support manufacturing processes, equipment design and process understanding. The expected start date is 1 August or 1 September.

 

Your tasks may include:

  • Supporting CFD simulations and analyses under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Assisting with data preparation, post‑processing and visualisation of simulation results.
  • Contributing to documentation, presentations and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Supporting collaboration with project teams and other technical stakeholders.
  • Learning and applying best practices within modelling, simulation and engineering workflows.

 

The position is 30 hours per week.

 

Your new department

You will be part of Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology, where we support and improve aseptic manufacturing processes through science‑based approaches. The team works across disciplines such as modelling, simulation and process analytics, enabling data‑driven decisions across projects and sites.

The internship will be based in the Lyngby area, with close collaboration across the team and wider organisation.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for a motivated student who is eager to learn and apply engineering theory in practice.

 

We expect you to:

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, within Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Have completed at least 2 years of study.
  • Have an interest in fluid dynamics, modelling or simulation.
  • Be structured, curious and motivated to learn in a professional environment.
  • Be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Salary and Benefits: If allowed by the educational institution from where the Intern is enrolled, the monthly salary is fixed. The monthly base rate is DKK 15,900 plus a pension scheme (currently 10% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution).
