Regional Medical Advisor – Rare Disease (2-year fixed term)

Your new role

 

As Regional Medical Advisor for Rare Blood  and Endocrine Disorders, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining Novo Nordisk's medical presence in Haemophilia and Growth Hormone Deficiency. This is a unique opportunity to maintain and further develop relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals while supporting inmarket products and contributing to future pipeline readiness, including upcoming launches. With 50% of your time spent engaging externally, you'll have real autonomy to drive scientific dialogue and create meaningful impact for patients.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the subject matter expert in Rare Blood and Endocrine Disorders, building deep expertise in Haemophilia and Growth Hormone Deficiency to maintain Novo Nordisk's credibility in this therapeutic area
  • Maintaining and further developing relationships with key influencers and scientific societies working in rare blood and endocrine disorders
  • Driving scientific dialogue through advisory boards, medical education, publication planning, and strategic partnerships with relevant HCP societies and conferences
  • Generating actionable insights from HCPs and the health system to influence medical content development and field Medical Affairs strategy
  • Providing training and scientific expertise to cross-functional teams, ensuring organisational readiness for in-market products and future launches
  • Responding to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs and the scientific community in full compliance with national requirements
  • Providing limited medical and regulatory review support across therapeutic areas, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements

 

Your new department

 

You’ll be joining the Medical Regulatory team, working at the intersection of medical science and commercial strategy. This is a role where you'll help maintain our presence in the rare blood and endocrine disorders space, collaborating closely with marketing and health economics teams. You'll have the opportunity to shape how we support patients in conditions where unmet needs remain significant, working in a pre-launch environment that values scientific credibility and strategic thinking.

 

Your skills & qualifications

 

We're looking for a medical affairs professional with scientific expertise and a passion for improving outcomes in rare diseases. You'll bring with you:

  • You’re a medical doctor or Pharmacist (essential)
  • A minimum of 2 years' field medical pharmaceutical industry experience, with therapy area knowledge and expertise in haematology, rare diseases, or related areas
  • Clinical and scientific credibility demonstrated through working with KOLs, with strong evidence of building and maintaining strategic external relationships
  • Excellent understanding of national regulations relating to pharmaceutical advertising (essential)
  • Excellent communication, networking, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders from KOLs to cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an international matrix organisation, managing complex tasks and quickly adapting to new situations
  • Fluency in written and spoken Slovenian and English and proficiency with Microsoft packages
