Medical Sales Representative (Fixed-term Contract)

Your new role

 

As Medical Sales Representative, you'll play a critical role in ensuring healthcare professionals have the knowledge, tools and support they need to provide exceptional care to patients living with serious chronic diseases. You'll own your territory's success for the locations Maribor with the Podravje region, Koroška, and the Prekmurje region of  combining strategic planning with hands-on engagement to build lasting relationships and drive meaningful impact.

 

Day-to-day your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Ensuring territory sales performance by executing the required number of visits to target groups and implementing sales and marketing objectives
  • Analyzing territory data to identify high-potential sales opportunities, monitor performance metrics and define strategic next steps to maximize business potential
  • Preparing and executing comprehensive territory action plans that deliver on sales and marketing business objectives
  • Building sustainable relationships with assigned customers, providing them with medical information and services tailored to their specific needs
  • Planning, organizing and delivering promotional and educational events for healthcare professionals on product and disease topics, ensuring effective follow-up
  • Promoting products at medical events and participating actively in regional meetings, national conferences and cross-functional collaboration
  • Registering all customer interactions in IO Engage, using the system for call planning, market analysis and consistent documentation
  • Collaborating on key accounts with cross-functional teams to align account objectives and tactics
  • Collecting and reporting data on customers, field activities, competitors and healthcare environment developments
  • Working according to Business Ethics procedures, local law, the Novo Nordisk Way and all NN policies and guidelines

We are a dedicated team of 30 people based in Ljubljana, united in our mission to bring innovative treatments to patients across Slovenia and position Novo Nordisk as a leader in diabetes and obesity care.

 

Your skills & qualifications

 

We're looking for a Medical Sales Representative who is passionate about improving patients' quality of life and driven by the opportunity to make a real difference. You'll bring with you:

 

  • University degree, preferably in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry or natural sciences
  • Minimum experience in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated success in sales or medical affairs
  • Fluency in Slovenian and English (both written and spoken)
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly across your territory
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actionable plans
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with proven influencing, selling, communication and presentation capabilities
  • Exceptional team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions including Sales, Marketing, Market Access and CMR
  • Personal qualities: energetic, passionate about healthy living, comfortable taking initiative, and possessing strong personal drive and dedication
  • Commitment to ethical standards, compliance and quality in all aspects of work
  • Experience or willingness to become proficient in systems including IO Engage, ISOTrain and NovoVision
