Your new role

As Quality Assurance Professional, you will be key in safeguarding product quality and patient safety. You will act as a key quality expert for the affiliate,  ensuring GDP and GxP compliance and contributing actively to audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as Deputy Technical Director, approving batch reception and release to market, goods returns, local repackaging plans and batch documentation
  • Maintain and continuously improve the local Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure efficiency, compliance and usability. Local support of Novo Nordisk training system (ISOtrain)
  • Actively support audits and regulatory inspections, including coordination, preparation, execution and follow‑up of corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage quality issues, technical complaints and product recalls in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as main quality contact with logistics and repackaging partners, ensuring GDP compliance and product quality

 

Your new department

You will join the Regulatory, Safety and Quality unit in our Portugal Affiliate, working in close collaboration with external and internal stakeholders such as Supply & operations partners. The department plays a central role in ensuring that all products released to the Portuguese market meet Novo Nordisk’s high quality, safety and compliance standards, while supporting efficient and compliant operations.

 

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring a strong quality and regulatory background combined with excellent organisational and communication skills. You are comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

You have:

  • A University Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences 
  • Valid registration with the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society (Ordem dos Farmacêuticos)
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Technical Direction within the pharmaceutical industry or wholesaler pharmaceutical sector
  • Solid knowledge of Portuguese and EU quality and regulatory legislation (GDP/GxP)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex data and documentation
  • Fluency in both English and Portuguese is required
  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 34,100  to 52,860 EUR corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
  • Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
