Your new role

As an HR Business Partner you will play a crucial role in implementing our People and Organisation Strategy while working closely with business leaders to drive positive culture that supports our mission and vision. In this role you will partner within the business and work collaboratively to provide guidance and support that helps shape positive change.

Day‑to‑day your tasks will include:

  • Collaborate with HR Director to align People strategy with local objectives, ensuring its effective implementation.
  • Drive enhancements in HR policies, processes, and systems by staying updated on market trends and best practices.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, development initiatives, succession planning, and diversity initiatives to enhance business performance.
  • Provide guidance to people leaders on HR matters such as performance management, employee relations and organization design that ensure we create and sustain a healthy workplace.
  • Design and implement culture, engagement, wellbeing and inclusion activities rooted in the NN Way, coach leaders to strengthen team engagement, performance and organisational health.
  • Anticipate and address barriers during organizational changes, fostering a supportive environment for employees.
  • Provide operational P&O support including employee records management, payroll coordination with external providers, benefits administration, HR reporting, budget follow‑up and other administrative tasks.


Your new department

You will join the Portuguese affiliate P&O team and work closely with local business leaders, EUCAN/IO colleagues Global Business Services (GBS) and functional leads. The team supports a fast‑paced international environment and aims to enable business performance through people-focused solutions.

 


Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Hold a Degree or Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Have previous experience as an HR Generalist, Assistant HR Business Partner or similar process‑driven environment - experience in an international business is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Portuguese employment law, payroll processes and employee relations.
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple administrative processes (onboarding, termination, payroll inputs, personnel files) accurately.
  • Show strong communication, stakeholder management and coaching skills to support managers and employees effectively.
  • Be proactive in problem‑solving, adaptability to respond to changing demands and situations and discreet in handling confidential information.
