Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing the medical strategy for portfolio products, ensuring that scientific information is effectively communicated to both internal and external stakeholders across the SAM Cluster (Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Paraguay). This involves creating strategies for medical communications, product launches, market access, and sales & marketing activities.

Additionally, the role includes developing strong relationships with KOLs and HCPs, coordinating medical education, supporting pharmacovigilance activities, and promoting scientific publications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop medical strategies for communication, product launches, market access, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Establish and manage KOL activities, fostering relationships with KOLs and HCPs.
  • Approve promotional materials and plan pre-launch strategies for new products.
  • Plan and coordinate Continuous Medical Education events and training for internal teams.
  • Address medical information requests and provide support to pharmacovigilance when needed.
  • Promote publication of articles, posters, and abstracts at national and international congresses.
  • Regularly screen national scientific literature for pharmacovigilance updates and relevant cases.

 

Your new department

The SAM Diabetes Senior Medical Manager at Novo Nordisk provides scientific leadership and clinical expertise to bridge research and patient care across the region. It supports evidence generation, medical education, and robust engagement with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and scientific societies to ensure safe, effective use of therapies. Working cross-functionally with Regulatory, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Advisors and Commercial teams, tailors regional medical strategies, supports local launches, and fosters partnerships that drive improved patient outcomes and responsible innovation across diverse South American healthcare systems.

 

Your skills & qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

  • Medical Degree is required
  • Min 6 years’ experience in Medical Affairs or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven expertise in scientific communication, publication strategy, and KOL engagement.
  • Experience in medical education for HCPs.
  • Ability to develop and execute scientific communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring impactful dissemination of clinical trial and RWE findings.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with KOLs and other key stakeholders to drive collaboration and influence.
  • Strong ability to integrate the patient voice into medical strategies and ensure their perspectives are reflected in clinical and communication plans.
  • Ability to work effectively with clinical development, regulatory, and commercial teams, ensuring medical insights are integrated into broader objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic industry while maintaining high standards of work under pressure.
  • Fluency in English is required.
