Your new role

In this role, you will focus on leading commercial, trade marketing, and market access teams to drive growth, enhance market presence, and ensure strategic alignment across South America cluster (Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Paraguay). By leveraging cross-functional collaboration, you will identify opportunities, overcome barriers, and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, distributors, and pharmacy chains.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•    Lead commercial, trade marketing, and market access local teams to ensure achieving results of the cluster (SAM).
•    Strategic planning & execution of commercial, trade marketing, and access strat-egy.
•    Cross-functional collaboration to ensure readiness for current and future portfolio.
•    Identify and address commercial, trade, and payer opportunities and barriers.
•    Build and maintain relationships with payers, reimbursement influencers, phar-macy chains, and distributors.
•    Manage performance tracking and KPIs across trade marketing, Commercial Ac-count Management, and market access.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies, industry codes, and local regulations.

 

Your new department

The Commercial & Market Access department for South America ensures patients can obtain timely, affordable access to Novo Nordisk treatments across the region. The team develops reimbursement strategies, engages payers and health authorities, conducts health economic and outcomes research, and coordinates local market insights with re-gional and global stakeholders. Working closely with sales, marketing, medical, public affairs, and regulatory teams, the department drives evidence-based value propositions, pricing and access policies tailored to each country’s healthcare system to maximize pa-tient access and sustainable market growth. Additionally, it ensures the execution of these initiatives in each territory through collaboration with distributors, pharmacy chains, and other key stakeholders.

 

Your skills & qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

•    Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or related field) preferred.
•    Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial, trade, or market access areas with-in pharmaceutical industry.
•    Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
•    Strong understanding of commercial strategies, payer systems, health economics, and reimbursement strategies.
•    Strategic Thinking, Stakeholder Engagement, Effective Communication, Adapta-bility and Resilience as key competences. 
•    Fluency in English is mandatory.
