The Position

Collaborate with HRBP and Line of Business to support the organization in addressing talent and leadership development challenges across North America for US R&D. Implement global processes and development offerings locally, as managed by Talent, Leadership & DEIB CoE. Utilize internal and external best practices in learning and talent succession. Execute key talent and leadership development priorities within the E/SVP area. Facilitate workshops including LT coaching, team development, leadership transformation, or other initiatives directly related to priorities. Ensure alignment with Global People Development Partners for EVP areas: R&ED, Development, NNI.

 

Relationships

This role reports to the Head of Global Functions, People Development Partnering (PDP) and is part of the broader global PDP team within the TLDI CoE. The position requires engagement with key stakeholders and accountability for building and enhancing relationships with departmental and cross-functional stakeholders, specifically: Collaborates closely with North American regional areas for US R&D as a trusted partner and advisor on talent and leadership development needs for LoB. Proactively works with EVP/SVP areas relevant to US R&D, relevant US P&O teams including R&D and NNI, as well as other pertinent stakeholders from Global P&O (People & Organization) to advance strategic capabilities and develop a future-ready talent pipeline. Manages and interacts with various external vendors for training needs, aligned with the key principles of the global Managed Learning Services delivery model or established solutions and vendors managed by NNI.

 

Essential Functions

  • Enable businesses to navigate their talent and leadership development challenges

  • Facilitate team development and coaching, mainly for CVP+ leadership teams

  • Design and execute talent and development priorities within the EVP area, ensuring alignment with and implementation of the global TLDI strategy, priorities, and MWBs

  • Use data analysis and business insights to identify future talent and leadership development challenges and proactively propose interventions

  • Design and execute interventions to strengthen ongoing leadership transformation, focusing on global leadership skills and embedding the four themes, aligned with global PDP priorities and complementing or leveraging the global leadership development portfolio

  • Understand internal and external best practices within learning, leadership, talent & succession, and leverage to ensure scalability

  • Utilize defined metrics to monitor the impact of prioritized interventions, projects and programs

  • Support and influence change management and culture initiatives related to talent, leadership, and learning

  • Provide professional expertise to enable the local P&O (People and Organization) community to navigate talent and development challenges specific to local areas

  • Stakeholder management:

    • Collaborate with the business to proactively identify, integrate, and implement initiatives and approaches to drive a global approach to talent succession and development

    • Recognize areas of mutual interest, propose solutions, and makes clear considerations for how to strengthen relationships with stakeholders

    • Know and correctly connect available communication channels to provide better support to stakeholders

    • Act as first point of contact for stakeholders in providing expert advice when required

    • Share PDP expertise and LoB feedback with CoE

    • Support key analytical work to strengthen TLDI offerings, e.g. demand planning, strategic workforce priorities, key local business needs and -strategies

    • Share Line of Business need and best practices to scale local solutions globally

    • Support initiatives that increase knowledge-sharing and collaboration

    • Ensure global interventions support local business goals

 

Physical Requirement

10-20% overnight travel required. Hybrid position based in Lexington, MA office(s). Occasional US travel may be required as aligned to execution of key deliveries. International travel to HQ can be expected.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or master’s degree with 6+ years of proven HR experience in two or more specialized HR functions required (e.g. talent & succession management, leadership development, learning & development, performance management, HRBP)

  • Experience from geographical areas other than home country is preferred

  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends around learning science, talent strategy, and effective measurement of leadership development

  • Demonstrate solid expertise partnering with HR business partners and line leaders to design and implement solutions

  • Proven record of accomplishment of implementing global projects and change-management

  • Experience in People Development and/or Business HR Consulting

  • Experience in developing and implementing talent strategy for an organization

  • Experience leading organisation transformation work across stakeholder matrix

  • Proven experience in translating business strategy into impactful solutions to execute on needs

  • Proven expertise with coaching, process facilitation skills and solid practical experience working with team development

  • Demonstrate strong business and organisational understanding

  • Effective communication skills, written, oral, and presentation
