About the department
The Global IT Operations (GITO) department is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of Novo Nordisk’s IT infrastructure and services worldwide. Our team provides IT support, manages IT assets, maintains systems, and drives digital transformation initiatives to enable seamless business operations.
In Malaysia, the GITO team plays a crucial role in supporting employees by troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and optimizing digital workflows. The position
As an Intern at Novo Nordisk Malaysia, you will work on daily operational tasks and smaller projects under the supervision of local IT. You play a role in assisting the department to achieve its goal by simplifying internal processes and driving efficiency for others. Your key responsibilities will include:
- End-User IT Support: Provide IT support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring smooth system operations.
- System Setup & Maintenance: Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, and network equipment to support daily operations.
- Asset & Infrastructure Management: Manage and track IT assets through inventory updates and audits while supporting infrastructure maintenance, including server and network monitoring.
- Vendor & Documentation Management: Assist in vendor management by coordinating with external service providers and maintaining accurate records of incidents and resolutions.
- IT Projects & Initiatives: Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to process improvements and technological advancements.

- Internship Duration: Minimum 6 months; preferably an intern in the final semester of the course or a recent graduate.
- Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 9 am – 6 pm (inclusive of lunch hour).
- Location: KL Sentral.
- Internship Allowance: Provided.
Qualification
- Open to undergraduates with a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Networking, or a relevant field of study.
- Expect candidates to take initiative and bring a can-do attitude.
- Must be fluent in oral and written English.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office suites, and Service Now will be an added advantage.
- You will be guided on all internal systems throughout the internship.
