As our factory in Koriyama is expanding the workforce, this exciting opportunity is now available for supply planning professional. The position will be anchored in KFA production team, directly reporting to Planning team manager.

 

The Position

As a Supply Planner, you will plan bulk import and supply from global product supply network based on the demand forecast monthly updated by affiliate to keep inventory level balanced against the safety stock and overstock target. You will place orders on SAP in accordance with the supply plan and monitor inventory level (Finished Goods and Work in Process) daily to foresee any supply issues. You will need to elaborate and plan stock-building in advance upon regulatory changes such as Partial Change Application (PCA) by closely collaborating with Quality and Regulatory as well as KFA Planning and Quality Assurance/Quality Control to avoid any supply disruption in the market.

Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Involve in communication with manufacturing sites in case of any global supply/capacity constraints and actively participate in monthly demand forecast meetings driven by demand fulfillment planner in affiliate to give inputs on the latest inventory level and supply situation.
  • Lead new product launches representing KFA as a Launch Coordination Group (LCG) member in collaboration with the launch office, marketing, quality, regulatory and supply chain colleagues, and execute the launch plan according to the agreed plan.
  • Actively participate in global or cross-functional projects (global compliance signals, inventory optimization program, warehouse expansion, etc.) Where relevant, participate in global process group meetings as the process responsible for aligning overall KFA planning and logistics process with global standards.
  • Take ownership of handling Change Requests (CRs) and Deviations (DVs) within the planning and logistics area. Introduce digitalization and automation in planning area by utilizing relevant tools such as robotic process automation, and Microsoft power platform.
  • Lead mid or long-term planning for KFA production capacity, warehousing capacity (internal or external) and manning capacity based on long-term demand forecast to confirm the site capacity is well balanced against any future demand scenario.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics or operations environment. Experience in production plant and delivering process improvements or change management are strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP is essential.
  • Business-level in English (writing and speaking) and Japanese are required.
