As our factory in Koriyama is expanding the workforce, this new exciting opportunity is now available for GMP and Production professional. The position will be anchored in KFA production team, reporting to the Production Director.

 

The position
As a Process Improvement Lead you are expected to handle deviations and all the other quality incidents that happen on the shop floor and act as a solid bridge between Production and KFA QA. You will also drive the optimization journey in KFA shop floor together with KFA production management and other key functions within KFA while closely collaborating with other parts of global Product Supply for process standardization representing KFA.

 

Your goal will be to implement and anchor robust production systems and processes in KFA shop floor to eliminate potential/actual root causes of errors with higher hierarchy of control (HoC) in place and ultimately to reduce the number of deviations. At the same time, it is required to keep the site aligned with peers in the rest of Product Supply by proactively introducing globally standardized process.
Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Tackle quality deviations that happen on the shop floor and interact mainly with KFA QA (sometimes with QAs from global organizations), and propose and implement higher HoC with Line managers, process supporters and/or LEAN Professional if necessary
  • Continuously optimize and standardize shop floor processes by utilising LEAN tools and by introducing global or industry standard
  • Well understand and identify business needs and translate them into viable and sustainable solutions and keep the Production leadership team updated on potential opportunities for process improvements.
  • Participate in relevant Process Group (PG) and/or global projects as representative to KFA, share what is discussed therein with leadership team and lead the implementation, change management. Drive the LEAN related agenda in Production area with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support Operation Responsible (OR) with validation activities that include but not limited to validation planning, risk assessment, documentation, change control including (Organizational Change Management) OCM, and work closely align with KFA Training Partner to implement more robust, more agile and simpler training system especially for shop floor operators.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mathematics, Statistics, Pharmaceuticals, Technology, Project Management, or any other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working in in Production, Manufacturing, or Operations environment (pharma companies preferred), delivering process improvements or change management.
  • Be a strong logical thinker with both right quality mindset and basic statistic competency.
  • Business-level in English and Japanese (writing and speaking) are required.
