You will join the Business Support Department in our General Administration Team at our Koriyama Factory in Fukushima. Our team is committed to assisting the management on developing strategies and policies to meet business needs. The position
As a Health & Safety Professional, you will:
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe practices, ensuring safety standards are met in equipment and working conditions.
- Thoroughly investigate incidents, find root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Educate employees on H&S policies and procedures and ensure staff awareness and adherence to safety protocols and drive a H&S mindset with focus on keeping ourselves and others safe both mentally and physically.
- Engage with the community, stakeholders, and project teams, effectively inform the organization’s H&S performance and initiatives, and provide H&S expertise and support for local projects in close collaboration with the site H&S Partner and Global H&S Partner.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate H&S considerations into project planning and execution. The first two years of employment, you will be particularly focused on our extensive facility and capacity expansion project at KFA.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in health and safety roles.
- Familiarity with H&S regulations and standards.
- Experience conducting safety audits and on-site inspections.
- Advanced level of Japanese and English.
