The Production Engineering & Facilities Department at Novo Nordisk is dedicated to ensuring that facility and material handling systems are always ready for production. We focus on stabilising and improving these systems while proactively collaborating and coordinating with stakeholders within the Koriyama plant regarding potential process changes and deviations. Our team is responsible for the maintenance, modification, and updating of facility systems based on the annual maintenance program, as well as implementing energy-saving activities for buildings and facilities. The job is based in Koriyama, where we foster a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.

 

The position
As a Facility Technician at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Maintain the building, facility, or material handling systems through parts inspection and replacement, with an emphasis on energy savings.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers or vendors to address technical issues and ensure on-site technical support when needed.
  • Ensure the implementation of regular maintenance activities as per planned schedules (daily, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, bi-annually).
  • Coordinate the procurement and provision of necessary goods or repair and maintenance services from external vendors.
  • Prepare and update validation and relevant documentation for new or modified processes, conducting validation in accordance with relevant local and global procedures while ensuring proper risk assessment and change control for any changes impacting GxP, product quality, and patient safety prior to their implementation.

 

Qualifications

  • High school or university graduate (preference for degrees in engineering or related fields).
  • Over 5 years of experience as facility technician, particularly in repair and maintenance.
  • Strong teamwork and communication.
  • Ownership and leadership qualities.
  • Proactiveness, collaboration, innovative mindset, adaptability to change, self-motivation, self-starting attitude.
