About the department 
The Production Engineering & Facilities Department at Novo Nordisk is in charge for leading, managing, and performing the engineering operations of the organization. Our team of facility professionals plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability and productivity of our manufacturing facilities and equipment. We work closely with production staff to organize repair work, safety inspections, and the installation of new equipment. As a member of our department, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our production processes and contribute to the success of Novo Nordisk.

 

The position
The position holds overall responsibility for various aspects within the Koriyama plant and Novo Nordisk AktieSelskab (NNAS), focusing on the readiness and enhancement of facility and Material Handling Systems (MHS) for production operations. This involves ensuring the continuous availability of these systems while striving to stabilize and improve their efficiency and functionality. Additionally, the role requires proactive collaboration and coordination with stakeholders across both entities. Other role expectations are as follows

  • Ensuring that facility and MHS systems are always ready to be utilized for production and stabilizing and improving facility systems and MHS systems.
  • Collaborating and aligning with stakeholders within the Koriyama plant and NNAS.
  • Maintaining, modifying, and updating facility, building, and MHS systems based on the annual maintenance program.
  • Implementing energy-saving activities for buildings and facilities.
  • Installing and checking air conditioning equipment in external warehouses and implementing energy-saving equipment while always up to date on the latest technology.

 

Qualifications

  • University graduate, preferably with a degree in engineering or a related field. 
  • More than 5 years of experience in facility work.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Business level of English and Japanese.
  • Ownership and leadership qualities.
