Sales Representative 1 ( 13-month contract)
PURPOSE
This position promotes NNCI products and develops strategic business relationships with Endocrinologists, Primary care physicians and other targeted specialists such as Diabetes and Obesity Nurse Educators, Nurse Practitioners, and Pharmacists as well as to other relevant Health Care Professionals.
Diabetes and Obesity Educators and Pharmacists in both community and hospital settings. Represents Novo Nordisk to selected key diabetes and Obesity/academic centers, and large community/teaching hospitals as a leader in the Diabetes and Obesity care market, within an assigned territory and surrounding territories.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, implements and updates territory business plan in order to drive sales results with target audiences; regularly informs District Business Manager regarding activities, market trends and territory issues
- Analyzes sales data to determine progress and identify areas of opportunity; incorporates into territory plan
- Customizes sales calls addressing opportunities with, and needs of, targeted healthcare providers
- Organizes and conducts product education sessions within budgetary guidelines
- Liaises with Pharmacists and community hospitals to ensure proper and optimal product usage
- Attends conferences, symposiums and seminars in order to promote company products and provide current information to customers as well as to obtain and share market information when appropriate
- Participates in National Sales meetings, District meetings and training programs as required
- Manages territory CHE and sample budget
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular office space is home based. Requires significant local travel and may require occasional overnight travel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Certifications:
- University degree or business qualifications
- Work Experience:
- 0-5 years pharmaceutical sales experience
