The Position
As our Obesity Medical Lead, you will be responsible for the medical strategy and activities in the obesity therapeutic area, while leading a highly qualified team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Medical Advisors to fulfil strategic priorities for the affiliate.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading the creation and implementation of short, medium and long term medical strategies aligned with the business strategy.
- Leading Medical Advisors and MSLs’ successful execution of the short and long term medical plan.
- Ensuring Medical Advisors’ and MSLs’ high level scientific dialogue and collaboration with the medical community around Novo Nordisk’s current and future portfolio, focusing on the leading key opinion leaders in the field of Obesity.
- Supporting market access strategy and its execution for obesity related products.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, combined with strong understanding of medical affairs core principles in a pharma company.
Additionally, you should:
- Have at least 1 year of team management experience.
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience within the pharma industry medical departments.
- Advanced degree in medicine or a related field: MD, PhD, DVM, PharmD or DMD.
- Strategic and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation skills and a developed emotional intelligence.
- Dual experience as an MSL and Medical Advisor or Medical Manager – an advantage.
- Be fluent in English and Hebrew – verbal and written.
